Speed - This setting controls the speed at which the machine operates, meaning the left/right movement of the blade carriage as well as the in/out movement of the roller bar feeding the mat/material in and out of the machine. All other blade models need to be adjusted manually to the recommended or selected level prior to loading them into the machine. If using an AutoBlade, your AutoBlade will automatically adjust to the number displayed in the software. You will want to ensure the correct tool is selected in the SEND panel as well. You can then adjust the blade setting until enough of the blade is revealed so that it is as deep as OR extends just beyond the depth of the material.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT SETTINGS TO CUT VINYL IN SILHOUETTE STUDIO BUSINESS EDITION SOFTWARE
If there is no common material type listed in the software for your material, you can determine a good starting point by placing the blade next to your target material so that the cap is flush with the material surface. It is recommended to use the setting found in Silhouette Studio as a starting point when using common material types. If your cuts are too deep, you can reduce the blade number and decrease the exposed blade tip. The higher the number, the more blade that will be exposed, and therefore the deeper your cut will be. ⚠ IMPORTANT: The key to successful cutting results is to find the lowest possible setting levels (Blade and Force setting combination) where the Silhouette is still able to cut your material successfully.īasic Cut Settingsělade Number - This setting indicates the amount of blade exposed from the blade tip in 0.1 mm increments. Cut settings can be customized in the Send panel of the Silhouette Studio software.
